It's
a Family Passion
Hanover
has never been a company that just makes boxes. For nearly
80 years, manufacturing quality products has been a family passion.
Our
company's story began in 1925 when Abraham Chatzkel founded Reliable
Paper Box in Philadelphia and began producing set-up boxes. Reliable
became Reliance Paper Box and thrived, expanding its capabilities
in the decades that followed, serving its customers with the efficiency
of a large company and the soul of a family business.
In
1982, Larry Chatzkel joined the company, becoming chief executive
officer and president in 1992. Like his father Benjamin and his
grandfather, Larry continued to diversify the product mix and
added PVC packaging to the full array of set-up and folding cartons
produced by the company.
In
1988, Reliance Paper Box took a giant step forward by acquiring
the assets of Hanover Paper Box Company and moving its operations
from Philadelphia to Hanover. Hanover Packaging was formed, and
a new 60,000 square foot manufacturing facility was built to allow
for more efficient operations and to house the company's growing
production capabilities. Since 2000, all manufacturing has occurred
in Hanover under the name Hanover Packaging Corporation.
Today,
Hanover plays a unique role in the specialty packaging market.
The company makes set-up boxes, paperboard folding cartons,
PVC, APET, Polypropylene folding cartons, and a complete line
of rigid transparent packaging. Hanover also offers a full array
of co-packing capabilities, including hand assembly and automated
packing.
Three
generations from its founding, Hanover continues to deliver packaging
solutions with the same uncompromising standards and dedication
to service that have always guided its operations.
